Sad news: Ray Lewis III, the son of two-time Super Bowl champion Ray Lewis, has passed away due to a suspected overdose, according to police.

According to the Casselberry Police Department, Lewis passed away on Wednesday after authorities were summoned to a residence in central Florida and discovered him unresponsive in a bedroom.According to reports, Lewis is 28 years old. According to the player’s profile, he spent two seasons as a cornerback at the University of Miami, his father’s alma mater, before transferring to Coastal Carolina in 2015. The individual concluded their professional journey at Virginia Union University.According to a statement released by the police, the incident appears to be a tragic accident based on the available evidence and witness accounts.

According to reports, when an officer arrived at the scene on Wednesday evening, a person in the home was performing CPR on Lewis. According to the police report, a second person advised the officer that Lewis required the opioid-overdose antidote naloxone. The officer then administered Narcan to Lewis.

Unfortunately, despite administering the antidote and making further life-saving attempts, the outcome was unsuccessful. According to police, Lewis was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased due to a suspected overdose.
